MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - According to the City of Midland, Midland police responded to reports of a man who shot the window out of a vehicle in the Target parking lot near Midland Drive and Loop 250 around 7 pm Thursday evening.

When police arrived they learned that he had fled north in the direction of Parker Elementary School.

Midland ISD police assisted and Parker Elementary staff went on lockdown as officers searched.

The suspect was found a little later and apprehended near the intersection of Midkiff and Wadley. It was then determined that the gun used was a BB gun.

No injuries were reported.
