The Odessa Career & Technical Early College High School, more easily known as OCTECHS, allows students the opportunity to graduate from high school not only with a high school diploma but also a two-year associates degree from Odessa College. While that is the format for all early college high schools, the focus on career & technical courses is what sets OCTECHS apart.  OCTECHS is one of only four such programs in the nation, all of which are in Texas. OCTECHS opened in August 2015 and offers rigorous high school and college classes, AVID high school and college infused classes, access to a college platform (i.e.:  Sports Center, student government, honor societies, Wrangler Express, tutoring services, movie nights and the opportunity to win a new Mustang) and immersion into a true college experience.

OCTECHS students take all of their classes at Odessa College and are offered a choice between the following seven programs of study:

• Culinary Arts
• Criminal Justice
• Welding Technology
• Industrial Machine Technology
• Business Professions: Business Leadership
• Occupational Safety & Environmental Technology
• Energy Technology: Instrumentation & Process Control
