ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - The regular season is done for the Odessa College Men’s Basketball team as they finished with a record of 23-7. The NJCAA Region 5 Tournament begins Thursday for OC when they take on Weatherford College.

Despite winning 23 games, the Wranglers don’t have the momentum they may have wanted going into the postseason. After starting a perfect 11-0, the Wrangler have finished with a 5-4 record since the start of February.

But going into the postseason is a whole different ballgame. Every game requires a “win or go home” mentality.

The Wranglers start the tournament playing the Weatherford College Coyotes, who are hosting the tournament.

Baumann says Odessa College has an older and more experienced team, which he thinks could help them win games.

It also helps the young players on the roster prepare for their first postseason.

And win this thing is exactly what they plan to do.

The Wranglers take on Weatherford Thursday with tip-off at 3 p.m. to start their postseason.
